Kathleen

Kathleen’s genuine passion for Pilates stems from the transformational impact it had on her following spinal surgery to repair a congenital defect.  Pilates was instrumental in helping her to regain full function and mobility of her spine, overcome chronic pain without other treatments and medications, and restore her overall quality of life.

This life-changing experience inspired Kathleen to study and immerse herself in Pilates, and she received her Comprehensive Pilates Certification from the highly regarded Body Arts and Sciences International (BASI).

First introduced to Pilates in 2005, Kathleen found it a natural fit given her background in dance.  Today, Pilates is a way of life for her, and she practices it to achieve optimal fitness, health and wellbeing.  The use of breath, precision, concentration, and balance between strength and flexibility leaves her feeling restored—and strong—in both mind and body.

Prior to becoming a Pilates instructor, she enjoyed a rewarding management-level career in the biotechnology industry, received her Certification in Coaching from the University of California, Davis and graduated with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley.

Kathleen is excited to share her knowledge and experience of Pilates with others.  She brings compassion and dedication to her clients, with the goal of helping them leave each session feeling fully restored in mind, body, and spirit.
